Book Review – 9-11-01: A Long Road Toward Recovery by Nicole B. Simpson

09/11/01

As we near the ten year anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, I want to share with you a book that gives a unique perspective on the happenings of that day. Nicole B. Simpson was working in the second tower of the World Trade Buildings on that day and she highlights the struggles of a group of often overlooked victims of that day: the survivors.

Nicole’s book is very personal. She shares her story of experiences on that day when the world stood still. She explains the mountains of obstacles that she has had to go through and work to overcome in order to find a sense of normalcy again. The book is descriptive and relatable and I like how it allows a person to walk with her as she explains the path her life took in the years that followed. I personally appreciated the focus that she placed on the struggles of the survivors and I admire her drive to continue to help others like her to overcome and to move forward.

This month, Nicole is offering the E-book version of “9-11-01: A Long Road Toward Recovery” for only $2.99. A portion of the proceeds from every sale will be sent to www.tuesdayschildren.com to help survivors of the World Trade Center bombing. She is hoping to be able to give $1 million dollars to aid this cause by the end of the month. You can find more information about this at www.nicolesimpson.com and can download the book here from Amazon or find it at any other online book retailer.

I want to thank Nicole for the opportunity to read her book and I pray that this month will be another step along the road for her and for all the other survivors of 9-11.
