Book Review – A Little Yellow Star by Faith Tydings

A Little Yellow Star

How do we know that God always loves us? This can be a difficult question for even adults to answer sometimes, yet that is the very question that Faith Tydings addresses in her children’s book A Little Yellow Star.

This book tells the story of a child who grows up and notices that there are little yellow stars that are painted in various spots throughout the house. As the child grows and starts to ask Mom questions about the yellow stars, you can see how easily God’s truths are woven into the story and explained in such a way that a child can understand and relate to them. We can see the steadfastness of God as well as how to have faith in Him even when we can’t see Him, all through the example of the yellow star. I love the message in this book and I think it is perfect for 8-12 year olds to read for themselves, and a 4-7 year old will love having the book read to them with all the beautiful illustrations.

Thanks Faith for allowing me to review your beautiful book. I highly encourage everyone to check it out!
