Do we love righteousness? I mean, do we really? We all know the right answer and feel obligated to give it when we get asked by people, but do we really love righteousness and desire it above everything? Or do we just know that is what we are supposed to want, but secretly desire sin instead? The psalmist reminds us that God loves righteousness in Psalm 45
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your fellows.
Psalms 45:7 NASB
God loves righteousness and desires it above all things. He also hates wickedness. If we truly did desire righteousness then we would spend a lot more time seeking it, learning about it, and practicing it. God had anointed us and through him, we are able to really understand what righteousness looks like in our lives. Do we seek it above everything else?
