The Message – #13

God will punish sin. As we read through chapter 13 of Isaiah, we focus on verse 11.

Thus I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.
Isaiah 13:11 NASB

Sometimes we look around us and see all the evil that happens the world and we wonder where is God? God is here. God sees and understands all that is happening in the world. And at the right time, in his time, God will judge the sins of the world. He promises that here in Isaiah.

We’re sinful, too. And that is why our relationship with Jesus Christ is so important. Only through Jesus Christ will God not judge us for the things that we have done. Otherwise, God must judge sin. He is holy and as a result can not have sin. He gives people time and he is gracious and compassionate to allow them the opportunity to repent from their sin and turned and accept Jesus Christ, but make no mistake, sin must be judged.

Do we recognize the love that God has for each and every one of us? God does love us and provided a way of escape for us come to Him, but God will not allow sin to continue forever. Just as he tells Isaiah, he will destroy it.
