The Message – #16

A throne in lovingkindness. As Isaiah continues to prophesied about Moab and God’s eventual judgment on them, and that he is not completely cutting them off but is bringing a throne established in lovingkindness. Read through Isaiah chapter 16 and focus on verse 5.

A throne will even be established in lovingkindness, And a judge will sit on it in faithfulness in the tent of David; Moreover, he will seek justice And be prompt in righteousness.
Isaiah 16:5 NASB

A throne in lovingkindness and a judge in faithfulness that seeks justice and righteousness, that is what the Kingdom of God is. That is what God provides for us. God is the king and the judge and all that he does, he does in righteousness and faithfulness. God is holy and he seeks Justice and righteousness, and because of Jesus Christ, we are able to experience that Justice and righteousness with him. This is what God desires to bring in to each and every one of our lives.

The question becomes, will we acknowledge our need for him and turn and accept the throne of God over our lives, or will we rebel and try to establish our own thrown over our own lives. Moab was being called back to repentance and so are we. Will we repent and allow Christ to have the throne of our lives?
