Christian Devotional – April 9, 2013

VERSE:

1 Peter 3:15–But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

TRUTH:

As believers in Christ, we will be asked questions often by non-believers who are watching us. Why do we believe? How can we keep going after something terrible happens? Why do we seem to have hope in hopeless situations? We are to have an answer for them to explain the hope we have. Our answer is to be gentle and respectful, but it is still to be there and is to point them to Jesus Christ who gives us hope. Do we give God the credit for all He’s doing in our life when we are asked?

RESPONSE:

Father, You have helped me moment by moment through countless situations. You continue to provide me with all I need and I will share with others who ask that You are the only reason I can do anything. All I do is to point others to You.
