Read 1 Kings chapter 9

VERSE:

1 Kings 9:3–The Lord said to him: “I have heard the prayer and plea you have made before me; I have consecrated the temple, which you have built, by putting my Name there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.

TRUTH:

The Lord answered Solomon’s prayer. When we are experiencing difficulties, sometimes Satan attacks our trust in the fact that God hears and answers our prayers. We can know that God does hear our prayers and God does answer them. In this case, God was pleased with the request and did exactly as Solomon had asked. God came and inhabited the temple and filled it with His glory and presence. When we are praying to God, do we actually expect Him to answer, or do we think it is mainly wishful thinking? God hears us and will act to display His glory.

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that You are deserving of all the praise and glory. I will give You all the praise and I pray that You will be lifted up and exalted as a result of everything that I do. I will praise You. I have made several requests of You and I know that You will answer in the way that best glorifies Your Name.
