Christian Devotional – December 16, 2015

Read Genesis chapter 1

VERSE:

Genesis 1:31–God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning–the sixth day.

TRUTH:

Have you ever wondered why God made mosquitos? I have. I’ve been sitting outside at night, enjoying a pleasant evening when all of a sudden, I’ve been bitten by one. There are any number of things that we can wonder why God made and what purpose they have. Ultimately, we see in this verse that God did create everything and that He deemed it all very good. Before sin entered the world and there were fundamental changes to how creation interacted with itself, all of creation got along, ate plants for food and lived in peace and harmony with God. We must respect all of God’s creation knowing that He has deemed it very good.

RESPONSE:

Father, I will praise You and thank You for all that You are doing. I know that You love and enjoy Your creation and I pray that You will give me Your eyes to see all that You have made. Your creation is all very good and I will value and respect it as such.
