May you all have a very blessed Christmas remembering Christ’s birth!
Genesis 10:32–These are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From this the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.
As we think about Christmas and the fact that God sent His one and only begotten Son to the world to provide a means of salvation for all of humankind, these are the people he came to save. Chapter 10 of Genesis details out all the descendants from Noah and his sons and these are the people who repopulated the earth after the flood. As they spread out over the earth and continued to have children, somehow, we ultimately became a descendent from them. As you celebrate today, remember that Christ came for all mankind and that as we remember all the descendants of Noah, we know that Christ loves each one and died for each one so that we may experience His grace and mercy.
Father, I know that You came to die for us so that we might be made right with God. You saw all the generations of people that have passed since Noah. You have known each one’s name, each one’s hurts and pains, and each one’s needs. You love each and every one and desire that they all come to a saving knowledge of You and receive Your grace and mercy. I pray that You will help us reach out to our kin and share Your good news, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace and goodwill toward men.”
