Read Genesis chapter 15

Genesis 15:6–Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

When we read the promises of God in the Bible, do we believe that they are true? Often we read them as we would a fiction story, assuming that this was just something nice that doesn’t really happen. Yet, these were written as truths that we can learn from and use as examples and idea in our lives. We need to know that as we are reading God’s Word, we can believe the promises that are there. We can know that God will do all that He has said He will do. We can be righteous as Abram was righteous, we just need to know and believe that God is who He says He is and then act according to the things that we believe.

Father, I know that You are real and that You will do all that You have said in Your word. I will praise You and thank You for everything, knowing that You will keep all Your promises to me. Thank You for all that You have done and all that You are going to do.
