Read John chapter 6

John 6:68–Simon Peter asked him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

As we think about following God, is there any reason that we would stop? We experience several difficulties and trials as a result of being followers of Jesus Christ and just like the disciples in that day, Jesus says some difficult things that we aren’t always quick to accept. Still, even when faced with the difficulties and the trials, the realization and our response is to be just like Peter’s. Where would we go and what would we do if we weren’t following Jesus Christ? What hope would we have? Jesus Christ is the one with the words of eternal life and even through the hard times, we can trust Him and continue to follow Him.

Father, Thank You for all that You have provided for me and for being who You said You are. I pray that You will give me the strength and courage to stay committed to You even in the midst of the difficulties and hard times.
