VERSE:
1 Chronicles 13:11–Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.

TRUTH:
David had a plan, but he didn’t check with God and he didn’t follow God’s instructions to carry out the plan. As a result, a man died because of inadvertent disobedience. David was angry because God didn’t bless David’s plan. How often are we guilty of doing this? We have a plan, but we don’t check with God, we just assume that He’ll bless it. Then, when He doesn’t or things go wrong, we get angry with God. We must remember, we are to line up with God’s plans, not the other way around.

RESPONSE:
Father, I confess that I get angry sometimes when You don’t follow my plans. I’m sorry. I have it backward. I will seek to follow Your plan in all things and not just follow my own plan and expect You to bless it.
