Christian Devotional – February 6, 2014

Read Revelation chapter 6

VERSE:

Revelation 6:10–They called out in a loud voice, “How long Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?”

TRUTH:

Millions of believers have been killed throughout the centuries because of their belief in Jesus Christ. God knows and remembers every single one of them. In the final days, as these saints look on, God indicates to them that He will avenge their blood, but in the meantime, they are asked to wait. Many have waited for a long time and yet God is moving in His perfect time for everything. Are we willing to wait on His time, knowing that He will make all things right in the end?

RESPONSE:

Father, Your timing is perfect, even though I am impatient. If those saints who were murdered for their faith can patiently wait for Your vengeance, then I can wait as well. Forgive me and give me Your patience to wait on Your timing.
