Christian Devotional – July 18, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 26:3–The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because his heart trusts in You.

TRUTH:
How do we experience peace in our daily life? We keep our minds focused on God. We are steadfast and immovable in our focus on Him. This is how we display our trust in God. As simple as this sounds, it is also extremely difficult. So many things come up that distract us from God. We must constantly make the choice to stay focused on God, to trust Him. Only then will we experience the perfect peace of God.

RESPONSE:
Lord, my days are so hectic. So many things come against me, it’s so easy to be distracted and not stay steadfastly focused on You. I need Your peace. I will choose to trust in You.
