Read Malachi chapter 2

VERSE:

Malachi 2:2-“If you do not listen, and if you do not resolve to honor my name,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will send a curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not resolved to honor me.”

TRUTH:

The Lord has so many grievances against the people of Israel. Here, we see that the priests, the people who should have been leading the way in worship of God, have stopped honoring Him. They have not resolved to do so. They may have said, “Sure, I’ll honor Him when it’s convenient or when it’s easy.” But when things get difficult, they slide into the way that seems easiest. What are we resolved to do? Will we commit ourselves to stand, no matter the consequences or the cost? If we are not resolved, God is very clear; our blessings will be turned to curses and we will experience the curses of God.

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that Your way is the best, even when it’s not the easiest. I will resolve to follow You even in the midst of difficulty and struggle. Even when things get difficult and hard I will follow my commitment to seek You.
