Christian Devotional – March 15, 2018

What type of person is the Lord looking for? What is God’s standard? We see that in Psalm 24.

Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord ? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully.

The only person who meets those requirements is God himself and Jesus Christ his son. We may try to be all that God wants us to be but in the end that falls short. We are not perfect and every single one of us will fall at some point. Only Jesus Christ was able to live the life that God requires and become the perfect sacrifice on our behalf. Do we desire to ascend to the hill of the Lord and stand in his presence? Only through Jesus are we able to do that.
