Read Deuteronomy chapter 9

VERSE:

Deuteronomy 9:5–It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of this land; but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the Lord your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

TRUTH:

God wanted the people to understand they had not been good enough to deserve this blessing. God had simply chosen them and was making it possible for them to overcome those stronger than they. We do not deserve the blessings of God in our life. We are not entitled to them. He is the one who is choosing to bless us for His own purpose. We must never think that we have earned or deserved God’s blessings. Instead, we are recipients of God’s grace.

RESPONSE:

Father, You have blessed me so completely and I have done nothing to earn or deserve Your blessing. I choose to be obedient to You because I love You, not because I want to earn Your blessings. I will praise You in everything You have done in my life.
