In Ezekiel chapter 32, God gives Ezekiel another Lament. Ezekiel is to Lament The Fall of the pharaoh of Egypt. God goes on to explain all of the destruction and judgment that will be coming upon the pharaoh for his failure to follow God. So many people will be judged as a result of pharaohs failure to lead them to God. As the leader of the country, his responsibility is very clear in terms of where he’s leading his people to. The end result was that the country would be destroyed and fall into God’s judgment.
Where are we leading people to? Everyday People watch us and look at us and seek to understand what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. Are we pointing people to Jesus Christ? Are we helping them to understand how to live a life that is pleasing to God? Or, will our life stand as an example of what not to do? As we go through today, how would other people know about God based on what they see from our life? If the answer is they wouldn’t learn about God, then we need to repent and seek after the Holiness of God so that he is reflected through our life each and every day.
