Christian Devotional – May 18, 2014

Read 1 John chapter 1

VERSE:

1 John 1:2–The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.

TRUTH:

Eternal life appears to them. How is that possible? In John 17:3 it defines eternal life as knowing God and Jesus Christ who was sent by God. How can we testify about eternal life? We’ve experienced Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God, we invite Him into our life and we experience His life, eternal life. Have we experienced His eternal life? Do we proclaim that life to others?

RESPONSE:

Father, You are eternal life and You freely give that life through Jesus Christ Your Son. I have seen it; I have experienced it. I will proclaim it to everyone.
