Christian Devotional – May 31, 2016

Read Hebrews chapter 4

VERSE:

Hebrews 4:13–Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

TRUTH:

What a wonderful and terrifying verse! God sees all and knows all that happens. He is not surprised by anything that goes on and nothing, no action or motive, is hidden from him. What’s more, we will each need to give account for the things that we have done. Not only does he know these things, but he expects us to be able to give an account for what we have done and why. Are we prepared for that? None of us are, which is why we so desperately need the sacrifice of our Savior. God sent Jesus because He knew we would not be able to stand and He loved us. I serve Him because I love Him and He paid for everything for me, who had nothing on my own.

RESPONSE:

Father, I want to thank You for all that You do and have done for me. I will praise You and life You up and all that I do is to bring You glory because You are worthy. You know everything and nothing is hidden from You. I pray that today, I will surrender more of myself to You so that You may have Your way in me.
