Read 2 Samuel chapter 8

VERSE:

2 Samuel 8:11–King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdued.

TRUTH:

David knew where his victories came from. He always came back and gave the Lord the spoils of war. Do we credit God with the victories in our life? He is responsible for them. Are we willing to dedicate back to Him the blessings that He gives us? They belong to Him anyway.

RESPONSE:

Father, You are the reason I am victorious in anything and I praise You for that. Anything I gain is Yours because it is only through You that I attain it. Keep me humble and focused on You.
