Left-handed Ehud, #2

Left-handed. Ehud was left-handed. That is the main thing we learn about him, besides the fact that God uses him. Read Judges 3:15-16.

But when the sons of Israel cried to the Lord , the Lord raised up a deliverer for them, Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a left-handed man. And the sons of Israel sent tribute by him to Eglon the king of Moab. Ehud made himself a sword which had two edges, a cubit in length, and he bound it on his right thigh under his cloak.

It took the Israelites 18 years to decide they were finally ready to repent. So, God sends a deliverer, a left-handed man. This was very rare and uncommon at that time. That trait and his willingness to be used by God are what set him apart to be used.

Are we willing to be used? God has given each of us special talents and traits that He wants to use in amazing ways. Are we willing to be used?
