Left-handed Ehud, #4

Action. Ehud took action and only an action that a left-handed man could take. Read Judges 3:20-23.

Ehud came to him while he was sitting alone in his cool roof chamber. And Ehud said, “I have a message from God for you.” And he arose from his seat. Ehud stretched out his left hand, took the sword from his right thigh and thrust it into his belly. The handle also went in after the blade, and the fat closed over the blade, for he did not draw the sword out of his belly; and the refuse came out. Then Ehud went out into the vestibule and shut the doors of the roof chamber behind him, and locked them.

Ehud finally was able to act. He followed through on what God had for Him to do. And, because of the fact that he was left-handed, he was able to smuggle in a sword and used it to kill the king.

God had Ehud ready and prepared in a somewhat unusual way to do what he had. Not sure if Ehud liked being left-handed. It wasn’t common at all during that time, but God had planned it. Are we following through on all that God has for us? Are we ok with allowing God to move through us, even in unusual ways?
