Read 2 Kings chapter 21

VERSE:

2 Kings 21:12–Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.

TRUTH:

The people have turned away and rejected God. The king has begun doing all the horrible and evil practices of all the people who are around Judah. God is angry and He is ready to bring judgment. God indicates that He is going to use this judgment as a way for the world to see that He is God and He is worthy of worship. God will do whatever He needs to do in order to bring about His glory. If we will give Him glory and seek to worship Him, that is one way. However, if we refuse to worship Him and refuse to give Him glory, then God will be glorified another way. And we might not enjoy the other way as much. Are we glorifying God in everything that we do?

RESPONSE:

Father, I pray that You will be glorified in my life. I desire to see You lifted up and exalted and I pray that You will use my life for that. Thank You for being worthy of glory and praise. I will exalt You!
