Read 2 Kings chapter 20

VERSE:

2 Kings 20:2–Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord.

TRUTH:

Hezekiah had become ill and first thing, he sent for the prophet to inquire of the Lord as to what he should do. When the prophet told him that he would die as a result of the illness, the very next thing that Hezekiah does is pray. He comes to the Lord and he prays. As Hezekiah is praying, God hears his prayer and He answer it with a “yes.” God turns the prophet around and sends him back to Hezekiah to let him know that He’s heard the prayer and will grant him 15 more years of life. When we are faced with hard times, do we turn to God first and do we believe that He can change things?

RESPONSE:

Father, I pray that You will take all that I am and make it useful and glorifying to yourself. I don’t understand the hard times that I go through, but I will come to You first. Please work and move in these circumstances in order to receive the blessing that You desire and the glory You deserve. I will trust You to do exactly the best.
