Devotional – December 22, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 149:4–For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.

TRUTH:
As a child of God, we can know that God takes pleasure in us. He also bestows us with beauty through His gift of salvation. We all have days where we don’t feel beautiful or pleasing to God, but that doesn’t change the fact that He sees us as beautiful and takes pleasure in us.

RESPONSE:
Lord, some days I don’t feel pretty or worthy for You to take pleasure in me. Help me to rest in Your truth and not my feelings. I love You and love how You love me.
