Devotional – January 30, 2012

VERSE:
Job 14:5–Since his days are determined, the number of his months is with You; and his limits You have set so that he cannot pass.

TRUTH:
Our time on earth is limited and will not last forever. God alone knows the length of our days. He sets the number and there is nothing we can do to add time to it. What are we doing with the time we have? Do we use it to find glory in ourselves or to praise You and set up treasure in heaven?

RESPONSE:
Lord, I don’t always understand Your allocations of days. Why do some have so many and some get so few? But I know You are over all and have a plan. I will trust You for all the days You allow me to have.
