VERSE:
Jonah 4:2–He prayed to the Lord and said, “Please Lord, was this not what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore in order to forestall this I fled to Tarshish, for I know that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning calamity.”

TRUTH:
Jonah was mad because God heard the request for forgiveness from the people of Ninevah and He forgave them. Jonah didn’t want them to be forgiven, He wanted them to be destroyed by God’s wrath. Are there people we won’t share with because we don’t want God to forgive them?

RESPONSE:
Father, help me to not hoard Your mercy and compassion, but to be eager to share it with others. I want everyone to experience Your forgiveness and mercy for without it, we are all destined for You wrath.
