Christian Devotional – November 8, 2010

VERSE:
John 4:42–and they were saying to the woman, ‘it is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world.’

TRUTH
Each person, regardless of how they first heard of Jesus Christ, must eventually have a personal encounter with Him and see Christ for who He is. The testimony of others is important, for it draws us to God in the first place. However, the decision to follow Him is ours alone. Have we made a personal decision to follow Christ?

RESPONSE:
Lord, thank you for amazing people who told me of You. Thank You for showing Yourself to me more and more each day as I personally trust in You.
