Read Psalm chapter 57 VERSE: Psalm 57:7–My heart, O God is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. TRUTH: When we are steadfast, we are consistent. A heart that is steadfast is consistently focused on God and all that He is and does. As we consistently focus on Him, our response will be to praise Him. VERSE: Numbers 28:23–Offer these in addition to the regular morning burnt offering. TRUTH: As God is describing the festivals and the special sacrifices and offerings the people are to present, it becomes obvious that the special holidays were to be done in addition to the regular daily offerings. No matter whether it was a holiday or a regular day, the people were to bring the regular offerings to the Lord consistently. VERSE: Exodus 17:3–But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?” TRUTH: How quickly we forget! The people had been begging and pleading with God to get out of Egypt, now at the first sign of trouble, they want to go back.
