Read Genesis chapter 6 VERSE: Genesis 6:18–But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark–you and your sons and your wife and your sons wives with you. TRUTH: When God told Noah to build and enter the ark, He didn’t give him all the specifics about what this covenant would mean and what blessing that he would receive. God simply stated that He would establish a covenant with Noah. God doesn’t always explain all the particulars when He asks us to do something. Sometimes, He simply expects us to be obedient. VERSE: Ezekiel 16:60–Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you. TRUTH: God does not forget His promises to us. He sees what we do and knows our thoughts, and He loves us anyway and claims us as His own. He paid the price for our wrongs and we are only to accept His gift to receive that forgiveness.
