Read Job chapter 10 VERSE: Job 10:8–Your hands shaped me and made me, will you now turn and destroy me? TRUTH: Job is speaking here and he’s still having a lot of difficulty understanding why God allowed all these things to happen to him. He doesn’t understand and as a result he’s angry and hurt. Read Psalm chapter 42 VERSE: Psalm 42:5–Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. TRUTH: This verse is so important, it’s repeated again in verse 11. We must recognize when our soul is downcast, depressed, disillusioned or any other negative feeling. Then we must direct our soul to put hope in God. We won’t feel like it. We won’t see it anywhere around us. We won’t have a reason to do so, other than the fact that I trust in who God says He is.
