    Read Deuteronomy chapter 30 VERSE: Deuteronomy 30:15–See, I set before you today life and prosperity; death and destruction. TRUTH: We have a choice. God sets before each of us a choice of paths. One path leads to life and prosperity and the other path leads to death and destruction. He allows us to choose. As we look at His commands and as we consider the sacrifice of Jesus, will we choose life? RESPONSE: Father, You have given me a choice and I choose life. I desire anything and everything of You that leads to life. I surrender myself to Your will and choose to follow and obey You.

    VERSE: Exodus 21:23–But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life. TRUTH: In the verses prior to this one, the Lord is telling them the consequences for striking a pregnant woman in such a way that either the woman or the baby have serious injury. The Lord values life, including the life of the one who has not yet been born. Do we consider the life of an unborn child as the same importance as the life of any other person?     VERSE: Jeremiah 1:5–Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. TRUTH: God wanted Jeremiah to know that there was a plan and purpose for his life. God knew everything about him and had actually created him and still planned to use him for a specific purpose. God knows us just as intimately. He created each one of us and gave us purpose.
