Isaiah 56:7–“Even those I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
People come to the Lord and they are bringing themselves and their offerings. God says they will be accepted and that His house will be called a house of prayer. Jesus quotes from this passage later during His ministry when He throws out the money changers from the temple. Do we treat God’s house as a house of prayer?
Lord, Your house is holy as You are holy. Your house is a place of refuge for all and there people can come to pray. Help me to always focus on You and on prayer to You when I come into Your house.
