Devotional – December 29, 2011

VERSE:
Luke 6:32–If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.

TRUTH:
It’s easy to love people who love us back. However, God calls us to love everyone. This includes the people who hurt us, irritate us, anger us, or even ignore us. How can we possibly do this? Not in our own strength, but only by surrendering to God and allowing Him to work through us to love them. Do we allow God to love everyone through us?

RESPONSE:
Lord, I pray I will get out of Your way today so You can love people through me. I don’t always feel that love, but You do and I want to be obedient to You and show Your love to all.
