Devotional – May 5, 2011

VERSE:
Song of Solomon 4:7–You are altogether beautiful, my darling, and there is no blemish in you.

TRUTH:
The bridegroom loved to praise and compliment his beloved. He loved her and praised her physical beauty. Sometimes, the longer we’ve been together, the less spouses praise and compliment one another. Do we still tell our beloved how he/she looks to us? Do we accept these compliments from our spouse graciously?

RESPONSE:
Lord, you have indeed given me an amazing man. I pray that You will help me to tell him what he means to me today and help me to accept the compliments that he gives to me.
