Devotional – October 17, 2011

VERSE:
Amos 8:11–“Behold, days are coming,” declared the Lord God, “When I will send a famine on the land; not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the Lord.”

TRUTH:
If we entered a time of famine of God’s word, would we notice? Do we seek out His word and hunger for it’s truth everyday just like our body craves food? Today, we need to focus on hearing from God and seeking after His word.

RESPONSE:
Lord, thank You for Your truth from Your word. I pray I will seek out Your truth today and live it out.
