Devotional – October 18, 2011

VERSE:
Amos 9:15–“I will also plant them on their land, and they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given them,” says the Lord God.

TRUTH:
Restoration. One day, God will restore the people to a permanent place of peace. Are we looking forward to our permanent reward of heaven or are we only focused on the temporal things of this life?

RESPONSE:
Lord, today I want to be mindful of the permanent home You are preparing for me. Help me to not get too attached to these temporal things, knowing there is so much more to come.
