Devotional – October 20, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 90:12–So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.

TRUTH:
Often it can be easy to forget that our time on this earth is numbered. We won’t live forever. Yet God indicates that we are wise to keep that in mind and to “number our days.” Only by maintaining the proper perspective can we truly have a heart of wisdom.

RESPONSE:
Lord, I know that my time here is limited. Help me to use my time to do and be a part of things that please and honor You, for that is the only wise use of this time.
