Christian Devotional – October 20, 2010

VERSE:
Ruth 2:12–May the Lord reward your work and your wages be full from the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge.

TRUTH:
Where do we go to seek refuge from the problems of life? Ruth left everything she knew during one of the most difficult times on her life and sought refuge from God, and she was blessed for her faith. But, she didn’t just sit around waiting for God’s blessing to come and land in her lap, she went out and did the work that she knew to do. God blessed her willingness and faithfulness.

RESPONSE:
Lord, take my work and be blessed by it. May You shine upon it and may my work be pleasing in Your sight as I seek You.
