Take Action, Day 28

Everyone is talking. Read Acts chapter 28.

As we end our time in the book of Acts, we read the final chapter and Paul’s arrival in Rome. The Jewish people there have not heard anything about Paul, and they don’t understand why he has been sent here, so he takes the time to explain. He wants them to know what he has been accused of and what his defense is.

Interestingly, while the people have not heard of Paul, they have heard of Christianity. Everyone is talking about it, but they don’t understand it. And now they have someone here who’s able to specifically explain what Christianity is all about.

Do people see our lives and recognize they can ask us about Christianity? Many places and people have heard about Christians, and often they have their own opinions already formed. Some of those opinions are good and some are not good. Do we share the message of Christ snd exemplify the love of Christ to everyone? Are we part of the reason why people are talking in a positive way about Christianity?

While not everyone will agree with us, commitment to following Christ should still be evident and forefront in their minds. When we think about taking action and look back on all of the things that the early church did, it’s important to recognize that we are to take the same level of action. We are to continue to share the message and ensure that everyone around us has an opportunity to accept Christ. Go out and take action today.
