Leading Through Challenging Circumstances, Day 25

Ask the right person. Read Daniel 4:8-18.

After the king has spent all that time asking all the wrong people for help with his dream, he finally gets around to asking someone who can help him. And thankfully, the king also recognizes why Daniel can help him. The king understands that Daniel is a servant of the one true God. Daniel is able to interpret the dream because God can interpret the dream. It’s not that Daniel was any more special than anyone else, but Daniel believed and trusted in God. Because of that, the king trusted and believed in Daniel.

We saw yesterday that the king wasted a bunch of time asking all the wrong people. Today he finally gets around to asking the right person for the right reason. When we are faced with challenging circumstances, it’s crucial to make sure that we are following the right people and that we are asking questions of the right people. Only those who are seeking after God and who are desiring to follow God are going to have the answers that we are looking for and that we need. Are we willing to seek after Godly answers to the questions that we have? We won’t be able to lead any other way.
