VERSE:
Leviticus 5:5–So it shall be when he becomes guilty in one of these, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned.
TRUTH:
Confession is the key when we have sinned. Even for Israel, prior to offering the sacrifices, they were to confess their sins. The Lord indicates that there will be forgiveness and restoration, but that only comes as the result of our confessing our sins. We must bring our wrongs before God and acknowledge them. Confession is calling our sins what God calls them. God promises forgiveness, if we will only confess.
RESPONSE:
Father, every day I slip and fall and make a wrong choice. I come to You. I know what I have done is wrong. I will make no excuses to You, but simply acknowledge my sin. I love You and I know You love me and will forgive me and restore me to You.
