VERSE:
Leviticus 3:2–He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and slay it at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood around on the altar.
TRUTH:
It’s important to realize that there had to be a personal connection between the person making the offering and the offering itself. The person couldn’t just send someone else to do it for him, each person had to connect with this offering; it had to be personal. Are we personal with what we offer to God? Or, do we just pick out something and the passively stand by while it’s given to Him?
RESPONSE:
Father, I love You and everything I give You I want to have a personal connection to. I pray You will be pleased with my offering and that it will be a reflection of me and come from me to be pleasing to You.
