Christian Devotional – December 13, 2012

VERSE:
Acts 27:36–All of them were encouraged and they themselves also took food.

TRUTH:
Paul, in the midst of a huge, life-threatening storm, shows confidence and gives encouragement to all those he was around. That’s what faith does to a person. Paul’s faith, based on the assurance of God, gave him the confidence to stand up and reassure others. Paul led by example and then the others followed. Do we share our faith with others as an encouragement to them?

RESPONSE:
Father, I praise You for being the steadfast substance of my faith. You are immovable and as a result, I will trust in You and share that hope and my faith with others. I want everyone to be encouraged the same way that You encourage me.
