Christian Devotional – November 6, 2012

VERSE:
Proverbs 21:1–The king is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes.

TRUTH:
No matter who is the leader or ruler of a nation, the Lord is still over all things. He has the power to direct all things, including that ruler, and nothing happens outside of His power to control.

RESPONSE:
Father, as we go through election day today in the United States, I pray You will display Your control for all to see. No matter the outcome, You are over all and still the Lord of all. Give peace to all those who are seeking Your will today. I will rest, not in the outcome of elections, but in the knowledge of You.

EXTRA – For those of You in the United States, make sure you take the time to go vote today. God has given us a responsibility in this country and we are going to be held accountable for how we have used that responsibility. Pray, then go vote!
