Christian Devotional – August 10, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 49:6–He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations so that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

TRUTH:
God’s plans are always bigger and farther reaching than we can imagine. His designs for us involve reaching the entire earth with the message of His glory and plan of salvation. Are we guilty of thinking too small? We must be willing to move and go according to God’s plan.

RESPONSE:
Lord, You are bigger and greater than anything I can imagine or dream of. You are over all and Your desire is to make me a light to the nations. I pray You will fulfill Your plan through me and keep me from thinking too small.
