Christian Devotional – July 2, 2016

Read Zephaniah chapter 2

VERSE:

Zephaniah 2:3–Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger.

TRUTH:

Each day we wake up seeking something. We could be seeking purpose for our life, seeking pleasure, or seeking more sleep. 🙂 Still each one of us has something that we are seeking after and if we are wise, we will spend our time seeking after righteousness and humility. We will be seeking after the Lord Himself. As we seek after Him, He will continue to allow Himself to be found. What are we seeking after today?

RESPONSE:

Father, I desire You and I want to seek after You, but I keep getting distracted by the various things of this world. Please keep me focused on all that You have for me, because I know that it is for my good and Your glory.
