Devotional – March 22, 2012

VERSE:
Nahum 2:2–For the Lord will restore the splendor of Jacob like the splendor of Israel, even though devastators have devastated them and destroyed their vine branches.

TRUTH:
Even in the midst of the devastations that the people of Jacob had experienced, God promised them restoration. Not just any restoration, but a return to splendor. It’s a promise to renew. A promise to restore. No matter how devastated we feel, God is able to completely renew and restore us.

RESPONSE:
Lord, some days, I feel such a sense of devastation in my life. I start to think I am worthless and ruined. Yet You love me and promise to restore me. I will place my hope in You.
