Devotional – December 28, 2011

VERSE:
Luke 5:16–But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.

TRUTH:
Time is an interesting commodity. We are allotted exactly the same amount as everyone else, every day. Often we wish for more, yet if we ever find ourselves with “free time,” we rush to fill it with the next task on our list. Do we make time to spend in prayer with God? Jesus would take time out of the healings, the teachings, and the massive crowds and would spend time praying with God. What do we have planned today? What is more important than prayer?

RESPONSE:
Lord, I struggle finding time to spend with You. Help me to make this a priority today. I want to know You better and know Your desire for my life.
